Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on May 26, 1978 in Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009) and A Indomada (1997) are three of her most acclaimed films. Ana Paula Oliveira was appointed to the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in March 2020. She manages Assassination Witness while also being a member of GI-TOC multilateral team. Her research at the GI-TOC is focused on disappearances, assassinations or other acts of violence, particularly in the context of illicit markets. The research area she is interested in is the effect of organized criminality on policy, law and law relating in relation to human rights. Ana Paula holds an LL.M cum laude in International Law by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. In addition, she has the LL.M in Public Law and an MBA in International Relations by Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Ana Paula holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, which is a lauded magna in Legal and Social Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a lawyer with a license working at the law firm which specialized in legal issues involving public law for more than four years. Her past experiences also included helping in roles with non-governmental organisations headquartered within Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
